No More Pencils No More Books...

Took my final exam today and boy is my cerebral cortex tired! The final was comprehensive and I really hate having to remember things I could barely learn the first time around, but we were told what was going to be on it-questions from previous tests. I made the mistake of assuming she was going to give the old tests back when she had posted the questions online over the weekend. Shows how well I pay attention. I spent the past couple days cramming. I think I'll pass the class. Probably. Maybe. Knock on wood.

Next Monday I start back on full time. I couldn't be more thrilled if I came down with some weird flesh eating disease. Every day in every way I hate the casino more and more but I need the money. I'm struggling to pay bills. Just try finding a gas station attendant that will accept your immortal soul as payment for a full tank of gas! They won't even take sexual favors anymore. Well, not for gas. You can still get a pack of Twinkies and a diet coke for a quickie in the storage room...or so I've heard..(insert embarrassed cough here).

Speaking of gas prices, I read something interesting in the Times-Picayune. The Prez is pushing for the lifting of restrictions on oil drilling. I find it odd that he's all for drilling in new areas when the oil companies are "sitting on 68 million acres of federal land and waters where oil and gas companies own leases, but aren't producing oil". The Dems plan on voting some kind of "use it or lose it" legislation that will probably be vetoed if it even makes it to the office. I'm no tree hugger but I do have enough intelligence to realize that we should use the wells already drilled and make preparations for the day when those wells dry out by finding alternatives. But what do I know? I just have a brain.

Five Things You Didn't Know Could Happen During a Massage

Everyone likes a good massage. Well, almost everyone. There are some that cringe at the very idea of being naked in a room while a total stranger rubs them down. These people are either crazy or have never had a massage before and don't know what they're missing. There are also the ones that like massage a little too much and should feel free to do to themselves what they erroneously believe they are paying me to do to them. Also, read item number 3 of this blog article I wrote in November of 2012 and follow the instructions therein. But for those of you who are just looking for a nice, perfectly innocent, legal, and in no way rage inducing way to relax, massage is the way to go. That said, there are a few things you should be prepared for before getting that first massage. Things such as... 1. I CAN MAKE YOU FART LIKE A GODDAMN MACHINE GUN I once had a client come in for a deep tissue massage who must have eaten a very big, extremely ...

Top 5 Things That Drive Your Massage Therapist Crazy

I recently read an article titled 8 Things Your Masseuse Doesn't Want You to Know . After reading it thoroughly, I've come to the conclusion that the LMT's (licensed massage therapists, for those of you not in the know) interviewed either haven’t been in the business for very long, or really hate their jobs. For example, one of the items mentioned that most massage therapists get scared when their clients snore. I don't buy that. I think if a client is relaxed enough to fall asleep on my table, I'm doing a damn fine job. Isn't snoring like applause for massage therapists? It is to me. It got me to thinking of my own personal pet peeves though, so I tried googling Things Your LMT Hates or Things That Drive Your Masseuse to Drinking, but these searches provided no useful data, and quite frankly I’d like to know what insane, perverted monkey Google put in charge of their search engine for me to come up with this list :   Seriously. You guys have a lot of ex...
